Snapshots

When garment simulation is finished, VStitcher saves the final simulated garment as a snapshot. (For exceptions, refer to Creating a Snapshot.) Snapshots work as a reference point, allowing you to quickly retrieve previously simulated output of a dressed garment.

There are the following types of snapshot:

  • Automatic: created each time a simulation finishes, overwriting the previous snapshot for the same avatar.

  • Manual: user created. Manual snapshots are not overwritten, but only drape is captured. Therefore, if you change stitching, fabric, or a pattern piece, you need to update the manual snapshot.
